Nigel Slater is a food writer and tv cookery personality. He is perhaps best known for his column in The Observer which he has written for over 10 years. Born in Wolverhampton, Nigel Slater specialises in comfort food, with simple and easy to understand recipes that are quick to make and nutritious.

Nigel Stater cook books such as “The 30 minute cook” and “Real cooking” are straightforward, no-nonsense books that focus on making quick and easy meals. Nigel Slater is also known for his famous autobiography – “Toast:The Story of a boy’s hunger” where Nigel revealed many personal and intimate details about his life and upbringing.
